Harrisonville Chamber of Commerce

The Past is Back!

You heard that right…The Past is Back!! After months of public input, the Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors voted to rename the Burnt District Festival – Log Cabin Festival. Everyone remembers the name from the original festival weekend and many in the community still referred to the numerous named festivals as the Log Cabin Festival. It was just a name that stuck in people’s mind. It’s easy to remember and invokes images of the Sharp-Hopper Log Cabin located beside the Cass County Public Library Harrisonville Branch.

The renaming of the Burnt District Festival back to the Log Cabin Festival has meant a re-branding for the Chamber staff, who have been diligently changing logos and forms to accommodate the name change.

Even the original carnival company, Jones and Company will return this year.

If you are interested in being part of this years Log Cabin Festival, just click on the community tab on the Chamber website Home page and all the forms can be found there.

We want to thank this year’s Parade Sponsor: Crown Realty This years parade theme is “The Past is Back!” So have fun with those parade floats/entries and we’ll see you in the Past, October 4-5th, 2019!!!
